The Mesha Stele dated to about 840 BC, is a peace of volcanic rock, discovered in August 1868 at the ancient Dibon, now Dhiban, Jordan.
The inscriptions correspond to those mentioned in the Bible, 2 Kings 3:4, Now Mesha king of Moab raised sheep, and he had to pay the king of Israel a tribute of a hundred thousand lambs and the wool of a hundred thousand rams.
It is also believed to have a passage referred to the personal name of the God of Israel as described in the Hebrew Bible, Yahweh. And it also mentions King David's dynasty, which is the second time King David is referred to out side the bible, being on The Tel Dan Stele. More historical existence of King David. SB.ALSO READ
